JANUARY PUPPY PIN UP - LANI
Meet "Lani," this month’s puppy pin up. Lani is a beautiful, three month old European Golden Retriever. "Lani" means heavenly in Hawaiian and she definitely lives up to her name! She is a real sweetheart and is currently being raised in Seattle. She enjoys going to puppy class and is doing very well with her training. Lani loves everyone - her favorite activity is cuddling!
MATTHEW & SOPHIE
Congratulations to our newest graduates, Matthew Lopez of Kihei and his Service Dog Sophie! We are delighted to welcome Matthew and his family to the Assistance Dogs of Hawaii ohana. It was love at first sight for Matthew and Sophie and they already share an incredible bond. Sophie assists Matthew in many ways including finding help when needed and even changing the channel on the TV!

IPO & INCA'S BIG ADVENTURE
Two of our youngest puppies in training on Maui, Ipo and Inca, recently traveled from Maui to Honolulu to visit with patients at Kapiolani Children's Hospital and Rehab Hospital of the Pacific. They loved exploring the big city and brought smiles to many patients throughout the day! At just four months old they were great travelers and even enjoyed the plane ride. They slept the whole way home under the seats!

HYUNDAI'S HOPE ON WHEELS
Our most famous graduate, Hospital Facility Dog Tucker, came back to Maui earlier this month to star in Hyundai's Hope on Wheels charity event! Tucker and his partner Dr. Wendi Hirsch took part in the 5K that raised money to help children with cancer. Tucker even managed to find time to visit with his friends at the facility and his siblings, Romeo and Therapy Dog Tori!
COMMUNITY OUTREACH - EASTER SEALS
Once a month, our staff and volunteers look forward to a visit from Easter Seals of Maui. The group comes to the ADH facility to visit with the dogs, groom them, and play with them! Easter Seals is an organization that helps support children and adults with disabilities. We love having them as a part of our Assistance Dogs of Hawaii ohana!
