Happy 15th Birthday Knight!!
The first puppy trained by Assistance Dogs of Hawaii just celebrated his 15th Birthday! Knight and Feanna have been partners and best friends since their graduation in 2001. Knight helps Feanna with many tasks such as opening doors and turning on lights. He also helps to straighten her fingers by licking her hands. "He is my Knight in shining armor.", says Feanna. "I am so thankful for all the years we have had together. We have lived together, breathed together and faced challenges together. Thanks for letting me be part of the wonderful ADH ohana, it means so much to me."
October Puppy Pin Up- Soldier!
This handsome boy is four months old and we are having so much fun watching him grow and mature! He is a confident puppy who is eager to learn. Soldier's puppy raiser Loretta Spencer says, "He is a delightful puppy who truly lives up to his name as he is so willing to serve in whatever you ask of him. Soldier especially loves new adventures such as visiting stores, parks and malls. His favorite pastimes include chasing and popping bubbles, gnawing on bones and occasionally trying to bury one! He loves playing with the other puppies in training, especially his sister Tessa!"
"No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another. "
-- Charles Dickens
