IPAP is now into it's 8th year since we started as a

small internet group just after 9-11. It was a time

when there was a need for reaching out and connecting.

It has grown to represent artists globally. In 2002,

the 1st WORLDWIDE PAINT OUT was organized.

It continues to be hosted annually by IPAP and unites

artists in the promotion of plein air painting.

In 2007, IPAP joined with LAI to present the

WORLD TOUR OF CONTEMPORARY

LANDSCAPE ARTISTS touring worldwide.

The goal for IPAP is, and always has been to help

artist members promote their work within their own

region and on an International scale.

Hello,

How important are your memberships to Arts Organizations ?

Do you prefer to stay on the local level ? Does this then, 'level the field',

so to speak, with peers. You've heard the saying -

'You probably don't fit in, because you were meant to stand out'.

Make sure you have an image listing here at IPAP and check your

member listing, to be sure your membership is up to date.

Current is marked with 09.

If you could do me a favor and keep me up to date on whether you're continuing membership in IPAP but, may have forgotten to send in dues, it would be appreciated. Either way,

I would appreciate it. You can submit online HERE

If your membership is already listed with 09, you don't need to do anything more and we thank you.

with image and a paragraph write up.

Need to hear from all Charter Members.

Phil Chadwick
I am considering starting an “enthusiast” newsletter for those who really “get” my art.

This is intended for friends and galleries who want to see new work from the easel.

I only intend to send emails for the paintings that I personally feel really succeeded in

“saying what I saw”. The email will include a small image and a bit of the story that I always add to each work.
If you wish to be included in the “Chadwick Enthusiast” emailing from my palette to your

palate, please respond and I will set it up. As always, all information is confidential.

In addition, I may also start a “Chadwick Collector” mailing for connoisseurs
and galleries who want to see everything.
I would be careful to include you in only the email group of your

choice –Seasonal Newsletter,Enthusiast or Collector so that

you will not receive multiple emailings. Let me know what you think.

The long range forecast calls for fair, spring like

weather and happy faced weather icons.

The “Weather of Ontario” is closer to publication. I will also be
at the opening of the “Algonquin Art Centre” in June with new work.

Warmest Regards and have a Safe Spring,

Following a seven-month-long tour across Italy, Lori Putnam

returns to Nashville to exhibit dozens of fresh oil studies and paintings. These works represent only

about half of what she created during the journey.
Putnam’s Italian work will be presented in a solo exhibition at HA Gallery in Nashville during the month of May.
The artist’s paintings have been described as “intelligent,” “confident,” “gutsy,” and “effortless.” She
expresses light with big [brush] loads of
talent so that the viewers may see beauty in something seemingly ordinary.
Putnam's primary purpose for the extended trip was to grow as an artist.
She traveled and painted from one Italian coast to the other and many parts
in between. The artist pushed herself to experiment with her medium as she approached new subject matter
each day. As both artist and instructor,
Putnam believes that more knowledge can be gained by painting from life, whether it is by using a live
model, still life in the studio, or by painting landscapes all’aria aperta (Italian for “in the open air,” also
known as en plein air in French).

Friday afternoon prior to the opening reception, Putnam will present a painting demonstration using one of
her Italian studies for reference. The original study will then be GIVEN AWAY to some lucky registrant
during the opening reception that evening. Stop by the gallery any time to register to win.
In conjunction with the exhibition, Lori Putnam will be teaching several workshops throughout the week.
Please contact the gallery info@hagallery.com
or visit www.loriputnam.com if you are interested.

I had a workshop planned for southern England this summer, but
they are having recessionary problems as well and we're going to put it off
for the year 'til next summer. I have information I need to get to Gail yet,for a

workshop in Maine in 2010...
Planning on two workshops here, one in the area this summer and another in the Marquette, MI area...

as usual.Working also on my next book, "Learning to Paint Painterly Realism" which will

emphasize of course the value and importance of the habit of plein air painting...

Painted out with my fourth form art class. Art Society of Trinidad and
Tobago had a paint out this month. It was very good. Will be taking
part in upcoming group exhibition in May.
