HL 2010
Class Project Update The Hancock Leadership Class of 2010 has
selected its class project.Our class
will be providing financial support to Habitat for Humanity of Findlay/Hancock
County, Inc. so that they can refurbish and improve the West Park Playground,
located at 1425 Byal Avenue on the west side of Findlay. This playground is
located in a neighborhood of 850 families that will eventually include a total
of 13 Habitat for Humanity single-family homes. The project has been divided into 2 phases.
Phase I includes building a new play set, and installing signage and benches.
The budget for this phase is $16,000. Our class has elected to provide the
necessary funding for Phase I. We hope that you or your company will consider a gift to help make this community service project successful. Please watch your mail for additional information and a donation form.
Passing
of two HL graduates I presume that most of
you are aware of the recent loss of two or our HL Alums, Joe Ballega and Jim
Thomas. Joe was a graduate of the class of 1989.He also served on the HYL Board as the
secretary from 2007-09.Jim was a
graduate of the Class of 1986.
For
Joe, per the family's request, HLAA is making a $50 donation to Hancock Youth
Leadership. For
Jim, per the family's request, HLAA is making a $50 donation to Bridge Home
Health and Hospice. We
will also honor each of them at our annual holiday party. |
