High Performance Training Tips
YTS #32
Dear Friend,
My First Training Book

It was 1991 and I had just enrolled in the University of Copenhagen to study exercise physiology.

The faculty had an awesome library and I vividly remember my best buddy and I often going to the library to check out the books.

One of the first books I read was "Theory and Methology of Training" by Tudor Bompa. Time has shown that it was also one of the most influential books on my way of working.

Without doubt "Theory and Methology of Training" is a must for any serious strength coach or personal trainer.

Here is a quote from the book (page 164):

"Equally important for training effectiveness is to always set goals for the workout and constantly tell your athletes whether they achieved these objectives. The feedback you give is essential for training motivation especially if you turn everything into a positive experience."

But what if you don't have a trainer and are on your own? Or what if you are a trainer, but don't see every single session your athletes are performing?

Then you need either to be or to teach your athletes self-reliance - one of the most pronounced common demominators I have seen in high level athletes.

With my new Training Analysis Sheet I teach you self-reliance. I teach you how to set goals for the next workout and how to evaluate yourself - did you achieve the objective or not.
