Dear Friend,
"Genetic limits" are my favourite hate words. Why? Nobody can ever prove that a person has reached his or her full genetic potential. The longer you have trained, the more challenging it is to improve - there is no doubt about that. Also, it is obvious that sometime during your lifetime you will reach a peak in whatever physical endeavour you choose. But nobody can ever prove that this peak corresponds to your genetic potential. Last friday I attended the CPTN pre-conference session Speed Power Specialist workshop with Dave Sandler and Ed McNeely - both excellent strength coaches and scientists (www.strengthpro.com). Dave Sandler has analysed the performance of elite athletes and highly trained special forces (the results are shown on the Discovery Channel show Sport Science - with two episodes still to air on July 11th and 18th. Click here for more details: http://www.discoverychannel.ca/shows/showdetails.aspx?sid=8967 ). Based on his research his conclusion is this: "Excusing yourself with talk about genetic limits is a cop out for hard work". Read it again and make sure to embrace the depth of this statement. "Excusing yourself with talk about genetic limits is a cop out for hard work".

"If you're tired of the same boring exercises and need a change The Magnificent 35 will certainly mix things up for you in a big way. This is one of the most creative collection of exercises that I've ever seen. Your workouts will be a lot more fun. You'll burn more calories, giving you more fat loss, and of course you will become much stronger. A must have for anyone serious about their training and more serious about results."
