November and December 2011
In The Media

November was another busy month...perhaps the busiest yet.  There seemed to be a frenzy of pre-holiday love-seekers looking to engage our services before the madness of December began.  Additionally, media coverage was consistent.

Thanks to the Breakfast Television crew for having me on their November 4th show.  It was a wonderful opportunity!!!  To my own amazement, I had SO much fun...an assumed impossibility for a 5:00 a.m. start to the day (I am not a morning person and could never - despite being theoretically intrigued - work a morning show).  I felt so comfortable, and was enjoying my time there so much, that Kevin Forget - the producer - almost had to kick me off the set.  Thankfully, he's far too polite and professional for that.  Please check out the segment here, in case you missed it:

Thank you to Sexy Typewriter for interviewing me for her article on matchmakers:

Thank you to Kelly Rouba for calling on me again to contribute to two more GalTime articles:

Sitting In A Tree Turned One

On November 19th, I hosted a one-year anniversary party for Sitting In A Tree.  Select clients, business partners, friends and family joined me at Luna Lounge (www.lunalounge.ca) for cocktails, mingling and new opportunities.  As with my birthday party back in August, this was another smashing success.  The crowd was diverse, both genders were (fairly) equally represented, the evening saw approximately 100 (mostly) single people pass through, and a few romantic connections were made.  In addition to those romantic connections, new friendships were formed as old acquaintances reunited.  Thanks again to everyone who came and made it such a momentous and memorable occasion.  Here are a few pictures from the evening:

The Dating School

On November 23rd, Andrew and I did hosted an encore presentation of our October 25th official launch for both our dating school (Happy Dates) and our diagnostic assessment tool, unofficially nicknamed the "DQ" - which stands for Dating Quotient (not Dairy Queen...lol). It's our shared brainchild, and the culmination of months of strategizing, collaboration, and deliberation. It serves to assist daters by identifying their personal and specific dating challenges. The tool is a questionnaire approximately 100 questions in length and takes about 15-20 minutes to complete. If you or someone you know are interested in learning more about the DQ, kindly contact me at: stacie@sittinginatree.com with "DQ" in the subject line.

We will be holding another introductory session in early February, and every quarter thereafter. Similarly, the actual curriculum offered through Happy Dates will begin running in February. Stay tuned for more details. If you would like to be added to the Happy Dates newsletter, please e-mail: info@sittinginatree.com with "Happy Dates" in the subject line.

Happy Holidays!!!

I hope that however you spent the holidays you were surrounded by love, merriment, great food, warmth, and good company (even if it was your own).

I wish you good health, happiness, success (however you define it for yourself), and...of course...LOVE (romantic or otherwise) throughout 2012 and look forward to connecting with you in the New Year.  Whatever your plans, please drink responsibly, be safe, love yourself and those around you.  Happy New Year!!!

If you're a smoker whose New Year's resolution is to quit, consider the Allen Carr method.  I swear by it, and have been a happy non-smoker because of it, for over a year now (after smoking for 20+ years).  Please read my testimonial here:  http://www.theeasywaytostopsmoking.com/Seminars/Testimonials.aspx
