Pierre Skin Care Institute is pleased to announce the arrival of Juvederm, the new dermal filler from France. Juvederm is used to quickly smooth away lines and wrinkles around the nose, mouth and other facial areas.
Developed by Groupe Corneal Laboratoires and now offered in the U.S. by Botox manufacturer Allergan, Juvederm is composed of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the skin that helps to add volume and hydration. The injectable gel is a next-generation dermal filler incorporating a novel cross-linking technology that provides a smoother finish than other fillers.
During treatment, Juvederm is eased into the skin to provide a natural look and feel. In clinical studies comparing Juvederm with another dermal filler, 90% of study volunteers who were treated with Juvedermpreferred it to conventional collagen injections. Part of the reason for this is Juvederm’s ability to provide long lasting results: in June 2007, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) approved changes to the product’s labeling indicating that the effects of Juvederm may last up to one year. In contrast, the effects of collagen and many other fillers often last less than 6 months.
In addition to its superior results, Juvederm is also the first FDA-approved hyaluronic acid dermal filler that is proven to be safe and effective for persons with darker skin tones.

| Botox Restores a Youthful Look |
Wrinkling near the eyes and in the forehead is one of the earliest signs of aging. Even relatively young people can develop lines in these areas as a result of stress or excess sun exposure, making them look older than they actually are.
Fortunately, this problem is one of the easiest to correct. FDA approved for the treatment of lines and wrinkles, Botox can quickly restore a natural, youthful look to the face.
Injection with Botox takes about 15 minutes. Shortly thereafter, Botox begins blocking nerve transmission to specific muscles, putting those muscles to rest for the next few months. That causes wrinkles in the affected muscles to virtually disappear. The full effects of Botox appear within 2 to 10 days after injection and results last from 3 to 4 months.

| Vivite Skin Care: Advanced Treatment at Home |
 Until recently, there was no way to achieve professional-level results at home. A new skin care system, however, incorporates unique technology that has been clinically proven to renew the skin.
