WHAT IS TITLE INSURANCE AND HOW IT PROTECTS YOUR INVESTMENT FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.landamerica_logo

By: Curtiss Moore Jr. Account Executive

Commonwealth Land / Lawyer Title Insurance Company (LFG)

A home is often the largest single investment any of us ever make Title insurance protects against loss of value from defects that may exist in the title, or arguments made by others that such defects exist,, These defects or problems include fraud, forged signatures on deeds, unknown heirs or previous owners, liens and documentation errors. If you were uninsured and your right to the title is challenged, you could lose significant money defending yourself - you could even lose your home.

Our theme "Rejuvenation Through Education"

Message from the President:     ceejaeupclose

As you know our theme for our Administration is" Rejuvenation through Education".  There are several upcoming educational opportunities to your advantage.  In these trying and turbulent times we have to Re-Invent ourselves and the way we do business.  We will thrive not just survive.  I urge you to become involved.  We have several committees needing members.  Remember: our mission is to "serve the un-served.  Give service. give first, share always get later.  We have to give unconditionally and serve others.  We can't be insensitive to each other and our communities.

In addition to the classes already mentioned if you're interested in Commercial Real Estate CCIM is trying to attract more diverse members they are currently offering the Introduction to Commercial Real Estate course FREE to minorities. This 2-day course is very intense and effective.  I strongly recommend it.  Visit their site

For members that already obtained Housing Counseling Certification there are more educational scholarships available through NeighborWorks.  Visit www.nw.org/scholarships

In the Realtist Spirit!
