The City of Burlington's Official Plan Review
October 2012 Update
On September 4, City Council approved a staff report outlining the work plan for the Official Plan review.
That means we are now in Phase 2 ("Conversations and Analysis") of the project. In the coming months we will be seeking community input on a number of topics such as neighbourhoods, the downtown, movement and connectivity, community infrastructure, and our rural area, among others.

Downtown Vision Workshop
SAVE THE DATE!
You are invited to a workshop to talk about a vision for downtown and what it will take to get there. Topics will include retail, culture and recreation, getting around, public spaces, mix of land uses.
Wednesday, November 7, 2012 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Burlington Art Centre, Shoreline Room, 1333 Lakeshore Road, Burlington
The firm urbanMetrics will lead the session. They have been hired by the city to study retail/commercial markets and the role of the downtown. Staff will present background and context.
