March 28, 2013

This update includes information about the Character Area Study for Indian Point and Roseland and the upcoming Mayor's Inspire Burlington Speaker Series event titled "Health and the Built Environment" featuring Dr. David Mowat.

Character Area Study for Indian Point and Roseland

As part of the Official Plan Review, the City has retained Brook McIlroy to initiate a study to identify and define the character of the Indian Point and Roseland neighbourhods and to develop recommendations for tools to manage neighbourhood change.  The web page will be updated as the process moves forward and can be accessed here.

The first workshop in each neighbourhood will include a brief presentation outlining the objectives of the study and background information for each.  Participants will then have the opportunity to work in smaller groups with a facilitator to discuss key issues.  The input from the discussions will be used to guide the development of community design recommendations.
