Beat the Heat Issue!
Dear Kelli Geminn,
OK its hot and your not thinking coffee? No problem! How does a frozen smoothie made with 100% crushed fruit sound? Or a Peanut Butter Mocha Blenz (fast becoming a fan favorite). Perhaps a Peach Iced Tea or an Iced Caramel Macchiato will quinch your thirst and treat your taste buds? And then there's our own take on the classic Ice Cream Sandwich. We start with a thin Chocolate Brownie, spread on a layer of cool creamy Vanilla Bean Gelato and top with another brownie. Its big and its crazy good!
 Hot Music!

Thursday July 16th 7-9 PM, Michael Cooper and Short In The Sleeve.

Michael, a frequent performer at Square Beans, showcases his singing and song writing talent. Influenced by the likes of Lyle Lovett, Don Williams, Mike McClure, Neil Young and Johnny Cash, Michael has shared the stage with The Oak Ridge Boys, Corey Smith, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Claire Holley, Paul Thorn, and others.

Short in the Sleeve is Jason Middlekauff - lead vocals, guitar, harmonica, Kyle Reed - bass Jeremy Anderson - drums Chris Mirante - lead guitar, keyboards. Formed in early 2008, they are carving a niche in the Memphis scene with their unique brand of catchy, literate folk-pop. Having played local venues for over a year, the band hit the studio in late February to record their debut EP, Field Day.

Friday July 31st 7-9PM, Tony Branham

Tony is also a veteran performer at Square Beans and we are thrilled to have him back. Born in Nashville, he began playing guitar at an early age when his grandfather taught him to play guitar. His first band Sierra opened for Janie Fricke and Merle Haggard during a Houston music festival. Currently in a bluegrass band, Blue Day, Tony plays guitar, sings and writes original material for the band.

 New Art!
C & R Photography is a joint labor of love founded by Calvin Hartzog and Rena Neal.  Originally from Texas, both have come to love and appreciate the inherent beauty of Tennessee and the Collierville area.  We owe much to our friends at the Memphis Camera Club for giving us support and guidance while we explored the rich history and fantastic photographic scenery here in the Mid-South.  Calvin's style focuses on traditional landscapes, nature, sunset and sunrises while Rena's style is a more freestyle form of photography which offers a completely unique perspective.  Put the talents together and you receive a broad range of photos from this team of freelance photographers.
