Maybe your campaings sent on Thursday get more opens than those sent on Tuesday (more on this in the next article). You will also be able to look at exactly who opened each email and clicked on each link. This turns email marketing into a powerful lead-generation tool. Say, for example, you included a link in your email for a discount on digital cameras. If you see that Tom, Nancy, Joe and Laura clicked on that link, you can create a brand new interest group with those readers, and send them a follow-up email with more information on digital cameras. You can also contact these people individually. You know they're interested, so now it's up to you to close the sale. |
